RMA Automotive Sets the Pace with Jotafloor
One of the world’s leading suppliers of special vehicles, RMA Automotive, needed a heavy duty floor coating solution for its new Dubai Modification Center. The floor coating needed to comply with the RMA Automotive international factory standard, ensuring that the floors are highly slip resistant, low maintenance and easy to clean.
After a meticulous site inspection and an evaluation of the existing concrete base, our Jotun UAE team and Plus, a leading floor coating applicator in the Middle East, chose Jotafloor EP SL. This self-smoothing, high solid, LEED compliant coating, with its superior impact and abrasion resistance, provided the optimal level of concrete protection.
Pre-existing cracks and concrete damage were repaired using Jotafloor Filler Plus. While the substrate was primed with Jotafloor SF PR 150, a two-component amine cured epoxy. Post-curing, it was top coated with Jotafloor EP SL at 2mm dry film thickness. In addition, Jotafloor matched the color to that of RMA Automotive’s global standard and the 7000 m2 of factory floor was finished within the stipulated quick project turnaround time.
